I am a life-long Detroit Lions football fanatic. I am a life-long Democrat.

Crazy, blinded, hopeful to excess. Hopeful for a winning season.

The pre-season begins, we are full of hope that the Lions will have a winning season.
Finally, after all the losing, 0-16, 2-14, just in the recent past. Decades, of losing.
We are still fans. We still believe; This year, this year we will win. Talent has been brought in,
new faces, new hope, same results. We still are fans, we still believe.

We whine, we cry, we demand better. We are not satisfied with the current team. They do not move
fast enough, there is not improvement from the last team. We demand more. We still are fans, we still believe.

Crap, the quarterback is too fragile, he takes too many hits. he hasn't progressed enough.

But, we still are fans, we say we hate them, but we will be there, we still believe.

Can you see the similarities? Democrats.

We whine, we need more, we cannot see the improvement.
