Anyone care to bet that O'Donnell's poll numbers go UP tomorrow...?
I just have this feeling that her loony behavior will only get some people to decide they support her because "she's different," "she speaks her mind," and "she's not a regular politician." :eyes:

2. Well...
The only problem is what is "in' her mind! Yes, she is different, but from what I saw she isn't qualified at all, and most of her lines were right from the GOP play book. If her numbers do go up, they won't go up much, and I think Coons did a good job of showing that he has a better grasp of what it takes to be in congress than she does!

3. Nah....
I live in Delaware and I know Republicans who won't even vote for this empty-headed idiot. I doubt she did anything to change any of their minds, let alone independents and Democrats. She pissed off a vast contingent of moderate Republicans with her smears of Mike Castle (I did not like him, but I hate her). Even if they get over it, they're still vastly outnumbered. No worries--although I'm still campaigning, of course.

4. I wouldn't be shocked if they did, people are proud to be morons
She might get this down to single numbers by Election Day, but I still don't think she has a real chance.

7. I'll take that bet. I bet she drops to 30%
Edited on Wed Oct-13-10 08:35 PM by kristopher
Did you notice that Coons was a pastor at Yale? I live in De and I didn't. I think that will give all but the most rabid right of the christian vote the excuse they need to walk away from her obvious lack of preparation for the job.

How much? Loser donates $10 to DU next fund drive on behalf of the other?

ETA: How about using the final vote tally as our yardstick instead of polling?

12. Most of her money and support is coming from out of state, not Delawarians!
That says so much. So very much! :toast:

As long as she stayed conscious and did not puke or shit herself, she "won".. Her loonies will fawn over her and send her money..:puke:

13. Maybe. She does know how to talk ..., a lot. Like Palin tho', she
is all over the map, not fully answering the questions. Evidentlly she has schooled herself (with help)in many areas. Some of her facts are questionable; she seems willing to throw words to the wind, changing to subjects not concerned with the questions. She reminded me of Palin, only she appears to have more knowledge of issues. She apparently has no idea of how she might make changes to the things she is against, like abortion, federal agencies etc.
Coons shows his experience and knowledge of the issues.

15. And, Pat Buchanan's favorite adjective: "fresh"
Pat talks about O'Donnell the same way he talked about Palin: she's fresh. He always sounds like he's describing a feminine hygiene product when he talks about female candidates.

18. Races with large point differences usually tighten up towards election time
But unless Coons really says something stupid this is going to be a very easy win.

20. Nope. There were approximately 5% undecided in the last poll taken in this race--there
are not many people left to convince.

And I'd bet Coons gets 2-3% of those just based on tonight's performance.

21. Her campaign just seems to be a series of quotes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail
"I'm not a witch!"
"I'm invincible!" "You're a loony"
"Huh? I... I don't know that. Auuuggggghhhhhhh!"

Let's hope she's just thrown herself into the Gorge of Eternal Peril.
