O'Donnell attacks then stumbles in debate

The most serious problem for either candidate came when O'Donnell was asked to cite any specific recent Supreme Court rulings that she opposed.

"Oh gosh, give me a specific one," she said, and when told the question required her come up with cases, O'Donnell responded, "I'm sorry," and promised to put the information up later on her website.

Coons quickly referred to the Citizens United ruling in January in which the court lifted some limits on corporate contributions to campaign spending.

(snip)
Offered the chance to respond, Coons several times expressed exasperation, saying at one point: "A fascinating question that really makes no sense. What's she talking about?"

Christine O'Donnell is just...wow...

(snip)
Either O'Donnell's astonishingly cynical, or she's really that oblivious. Whichever is the case, I think it's clear why CNN awkwardly broke away from the debate after less than an hour, instructing viewers to visit CNN.com if they'd like to continue watching that farce.

From TPM
O'Donnell spokesman Dave Yonkman told reporters after the debate that "She was caught off guard."

1. Oh gosh. The Supreme Court? Are they the people with
those dreary bathrobes? And what is it they actually do, exactly?

2. Wait a minute CNN says she was feisty and gave as good as she got.
The think she did GOOD. And guess what a heck of a lot of republicans and tea bags are just stupid enough to say they same. There is no excuse for CNN.

4. Raises the question "should I have prepped for this debate?"
Seems like an obvious one, doesn't it? Probably knew what newspapers she read, tho.

From Yale Divinity not to mention a degree (a Juris Doctor?) from Yale Law school.

Oh yeah. If this isn't a walkover for Coons, the people of Delaware need to just cut the moorings, float down the Chesapeake Bay and simply do away with themselves.

15. No one told her being in the Senate would have anything to do with the Supreme Court. What??? They
confirm the Justices? Well, how was she supposed to know that. She's "you". Ever see Jaywalking? Those people deserve representation too.

19. All I heard throughout the entire thing is O'Donnell repeating
patented extremist right-wing talking points that have been repeated over and over and over again for the past 10 years. Even the segment about the supreme court decisions was loades with GOP talking-points and her being incredibly stupid.

Coons mopped the floor with her.
