Doing a little research on some political polls and
here is what I found..Democratic candidates are not trailing as bad as the corporate media would hope..They are reporting polls from the small sampling groups..Most larger sampling has the Democrats much closer (within the margin of error)and in some slightly ahead..The
Wisc Senate race was interesting..and backs up my point about the samplings size..Dont count Feingold out but the biggest factor I discovered is that if Democrats show up at the polls we win handily..
I think there are a lot of Democrats pissed off but when it gets right down to election day more Democrats will show up than what the corporate media has been predicting.
I just dont believe we will lose either house..No doubt we lose some seats but no dont think we will lose control
I cannot believe that Alan Grayson is behind ..perhaps the media is ignoring the larger sampling polls and reporting those that favor Webster by the largest margins???

2. I agree.
The media uses selective polling, and selective questioning to get the results that best fit their constant spin that republicans will win in a "landslide", or that democrats won't get out and vote because they are to upset with the president! They do the will of their corporate masters, but what it all comes down, as you said, is if democrats get out and vote, they keep control of both houses, and that's something you won't hear right wing media telling us!

9. Using the Wisc Senate race as an example
there are Democratic strong holds in Wisc. that was not polled and Republican districts that were..With Feingold's overall approval of 50 some percent the numbers just dont add up to being behind 7-11%.There many districts across the country like this..YES we have got to get to the polls and vote

3. There's also the undersampling of cell-phone-only users

who, being younger, tend to vote Democratic. There's a thread about this on today's Greatest.

Also, I posted that http://www.electoral-vote.com is now projecting that we'll keep both houses. It's still close, but they had us losing the House just last week.

7. But those voters voter turn out as much as older voters
who still have landlines and show up regularly to vote because their voting and lifestyle habits are established

5. Let's hope, but there's work to be done....
The ONLY thing that matters at this point is getting voters to the polls on November 2nd.

You can help do that.

Volunteer down at Democratic HQ. They need people to make phone calls, knock on doors, compile lists of local events, do data entry, etc.

Help others get their early ballots in case they can't get out on election day.

Get a yard sign.

Talk to your cousin/nephew/aunt etc.

We need to focus on this or the next two years of DU will be not about how to improve the country, but about limiting damage.

thanks,

Scuba
