Christine O'Donnell calls Chris Coons a Marxist in Delaware Senate debate |
|
"I am not now, nor have I ever been, anything but a clean-shaven capitalist," Coons responds.O'Donnell had turned the talk to Marxism after dodging a question about whether she believes, as she told Maher in 1998, that evolution is a myth. She said her beliefs are irrelevant because it should be up to local schools to decide how to teach evolution and creationism. "I would argue that there are more people who support my Catholic faith than his Marxist beliefs," she added. Like the Quitta from Wassilla, the anti-masturbation crusading satan worshipper has an amazing ability to avoid accountability for anything.

that O'Donnell can't without the aid of a computer tell me or anyone else what Marxism is? I'll take any answer that correctly adds to "it was "invented" by Karl Marx"

5. I get why Coons was calm and measured overall but he really should have shut her BS down. |
|
He would've been a hero. His marxist reply was definitely soft.

7. Hey, Christine! Haven't you heard? The "commies" aren't our "enemies" anymore! |
|
The last refuge of the desperate American Conservative: call you political foe a "commie."
It worked for McCarthy but that was some 55 years ago.
Such desperation!

11. Didn't she also speak of finishing the fight against the Soviets in Afghanistan? |
|
I heard that, maybe I dreamt it. I certainly didn't watch the debate. They broadcast it on our local public broadcasting station because, although "Channel 12" is in Philadelphia, it, like many PA not for profit corporations, is incorporated in Delaware. (Something about taxes, I think.) How's that for a sense of self-worth, Philly? We get to hear about public affairs on our public tv station....but nothing about Pennsylvania, let alone Philadelphia, just Delaware. Why is this dim bulb getting so much coverage? Oh, nevermind. The better to distract us from real issues and real information.

That's my recollection of what she said. Could be wrong. That was a jaw-dropping part of an incredible "debate."

"To Grip her Broomstick better!"
BTW I am not one of her... I have a grasp on real issues, I'm not a political shill and I care about the plight of my fellow countrymen.
