Ex-mayor says Joe Miller disciplined over ethics: Lisa Murkowski is a Coke head- Go Scott McAdams!!
Edited on Thu Oct-14-10 10:07 AM by Count Olaf
Turns out Joe Miller has been lying and was just about fired for misuse of borough computers when he resigned...

Jim Whitaker, the mayor of the Fairbanks North Star Borough when Miller was the borough's part-time attorney, said Miller was disciplined in writing for violating the borough's ethics policy.

Whitaker said he decided to speak out publicly now after Miller vowed this week to not answer questions about his past. Miller told reporters he has been the victim of "lies and innuendos" after questions were raised about his work history with the borough.

"Statements that Mr. Miller made on Monday led me to believe he was not going to be forthcoming. And I felt that the statements he made were less than honest," Whitaker said in an interview Wednesday. "This entire event happened on my watch. I know what the truth is and I felt obligated to tell the truth."

and now it is coming out that Lisa Murkowski has done cocaine possibly while voting on the state senate floor

These two are tearing each other apart, and they have lots of crap to expose...this is so fun!

When this is over, Scott McAdams will be the only man standing.

we are going to have TWO DEMOCRATIC Senators from Alaska :bounce:

1. And THIS is why you never ever call for the democratic candidate to throw in the towel
in a 3-way election.

NEVER!!!

3. it's not the cocaine use but the fact she won't disclose personal details
She has been using that to attack Joe Miller.

They are both hypocrites but Lisa has a whole lot of other ugly going on for instance she wants to repeal the clean air act. She is fully funded by the oil companies. She wants to drill baby drill everywhere in Alaska. She is complete scum to live in such a beautiful land and take it for granted. She is all about the money and power. I have absolutely no sympathy for her.

17. I agree - The rumours seem to be just rumours spread by Miller supporters
including a man she beat 2 to 1 for a nomination. The Miller problems appear real and documented.

4. Truthfuly I don't think it will make a bit of difference to
the tea bags and republicans who were going to vote for him. They don't care if republicans are crooked, corrupt, dishonest, or crazy as loons they still want them in office. And they love it when all these republicans they put in office always go against their best interests and kiss corporate America butt.

7. not the formal front of the tea party
but Alaskans are very independent, they will make up their own minds. I read the papers, I listen to the radio shows and they are having a very hard time defending Joe Miller. The Social Security issue, the blatant hypocrisy of taking government subsidies and every other program offered while saying he will eliminate them for everyone else, and the idea to repeal 17th ammendment...that was already enough and now this? He's all fluff in the national media. He is going down!

And Lisa is just making herself look like a fool trying to paint herself as the victim, the people's choice and all that bullshit. She was appointed by daddy and no one has forgotten that. She definitely has an 'in' with the rich and powerful. She keeps attacking Scott McAdams who has been nothing but a nice guy through it all so it makes her look even worse. And she has blatant conflicts of interest in her closet, like a land deal payoff etc. Joe will expose it all eventually. Thanks Joe!

11. Alaska is made up of more Independent voters than partisans
It is those voters that might start rethinking who they support...There are 130,000 registered Republicans and 75,000 registered Democrats in Alaska. If every Democrat votes for McAdams and Republicans split their vote, there is a very real possibility McAdams could win...But ONLY if enough Independents also vote Democratic...

13. I see a few Miller signs in yards and about the same amount of Lisa signs but I don't see any
McAdams signs and Juneau is one of the more Democratic leaning towns in Alaska...

14. Interesting LTTE in the Juneau empire today- a whole new approach, I'll take it!
McAdams can win without a court case
Juneau Empire

The Alaska race for the U.S. Senate has garnered much attention. The two major parties each have a candidate on the ballot: Scott McAdams, the Democratic candidate, and Joe Miller, the Republican candidate. Lisa Murkowski, the incumbent, is waging a write-in campaign. This letter is addressed to those voters who are wavering between voting for McAdams or writing in Murkowski's name.

First of all, McAdams is the only candidate who can defeat Miller on election day. If there are more write-in votes than votes for either of the other two candidates, vote counting will go into overtime for days, weeks, or months, possibly ending in a court challenge. Why? Because each of those write-in votes will be examined one by one. Alaska will be turned into a vote-counting and ballot-challenging circus, inundated by election "experts" from all over the country. If you are planning to write in Murkowski's name, you may be confident in your ability to remember her name, write it in for the correct race, spell it correctly and darken the bubble. However, there will be many other people who will intend to vote for her but forget when they get into the booth, write her in for the wrong race, write illegibly, misspell her name, or forget to darken the bubble. Some of those write-in votes may even be for Joe Blow or Donald Duck. When it comes down to the final results, we can be sure that many of those write-in votes will be challenged and will not be counted for Murkowski.

There are only two candidates for whom voter intent will not and can not be challenged. Take your pick. It will either be Miller or McAdams. Any other outcome could result in months of delay with Alaska having a vacant seat in the U.S. Senate.

There will be no mistake about my intent. I'm voting for McAdams.

10. Are we trying to win elections or what?
Anyone else have positive news from their state?

We have to fight the corporate media meme that the Democratic party is going to lose because we don't care, we all hate our own party and all that crap they are trying to push.
