Robin Carnahan Wins First U.S. Senate Debate
Congressman Blunt Doubles Down on 14-Year Washington Record of Sticking It to Missourians

After today’s U.S. Senate debate in Kansas City, Robin Carnahan’s Communications Director Rachel Barinbaum released the following statement.

“Robin drew a stark contrast between her record of standing up for Missouri families and Congressman Blunt’s 14-year Washington record of wasteful spending, corruption and sticking it to the middle class. Congressman Blunt couldn’t defend his 14-year Washington record of voting to ship jobs overseas, wasting taxpayer money, and bailing out Wall Street for $700 billion. He even resorted to lying about his troubling position on Medicare.

“From reinforcing his support for wasteful earmarks and the Wall Street bailout to refusing to pledge to never become a lobbyist, Congressman Blunt showed Missourians once again that he represents the very worst of Washington.”
