The name on the mailbox is Z. There's a gravel drive leading
back to the house and beyond. Beside the drive, a sign in good repair proclaims "Z's Garage and Auto Repair." A large number of cars and a boat are parked along the drive near the house

Nobody's anywhere in sight. I knock but get no answer and drop my lit

As I turn back, I see two teenaged girls in the boat, so I wander over. One of them seems to be folding sweaters

"I'm looking for Mr.Y Z," I say

The taller girl shrugs

"Does Mr Z live here?" I ask

They've never heard of him

1. Maybe they're Canadians?
Try asking for Mr. Zed and see if that works. :)
