Walt Minnick..looks like he will win..

from the article.

“No,” he said quickly and without equivocation when I asked him if he planned to switch parties. “You have to dance with the one that brung you.”

But why not change sides after the date is over, since so many of his positions are closer to John Boehner’s than to Nancy Pelosi’s?

“I’m too much of a civil libertarian to be a Republican,” Minnick said. “For the same reason I don’t want government taking my guns, I don’t want them telling my teenage daughter if she gets pregnant what our family decision is going to be.”

8. Given the choice of Minnick or Raul Labrador...yeah, it's worth it
Raul Labrador is a nightmare. His whole campaign is illegal immigration (he is a fan of bounceback amnesty, and he's an immigration lawyer), he's got even fewer ideas than Boehner and he's endorsed by Joe Arpaio.

As far as Minnick goes, there was an article in today's Spokesman-Review that discussed Minnick's performance in his first term--he's gotten more bills signed into law than any Idaho congressman of the last 20 years.

he's not better in many ways than your average Idahoan Republican...except for a few and he lists one. They're running Raul Labrador against him, and he's running on being more conservative than anything that ever was. They're both running against immigrants on immigration reform. Decent people won't run for political office because they have to compromise tooooo much, so you're stuck with what they'll let you have - chicken or the fish - and they both taste like fish.

5. Well the US Chamber of Commerce loves him...
They are running ads promoting his many stands against the Democratic agenda.

Me, I'm not so much in love with this asshole.

6. I am not in love with this guy..I just raised the question..
I read recently, in a thread, it would be good to loose the House and Senate.
Deadlock would force Obama to change to win reelection. Give him strength so to speak.
Some say the deadlock would be good for the country. I don't know. I am not sure we
would be in a better position to deal with our difficulties in two years of deadlock, even if we could clearly blame the nutcakes for it.

What if there were another severe problem, and we really needed cooperation and the nutcakes wouldn't even think of doing so?
