Maddow/O'Donnel Gone - What the Fuck!
Soooo, I'm watching my usual line up of Keith, Rachel and Lawrence. Keith was on tonight and then I was hit with this fucking "Lock Up" crap---glorifying the scum of the world instead of Rachel or Lawrence. (Usually, LockUp is the late night or weekend shit). WHY did they take off Rachel and Lawrence tonight?? (Usually if these people are not able to broadcast that night, there are guest hosts). Instead, in a hot political season, they just pulled them off the air. This makes me really spooked. This IS the time to broadcast for all the poltical junkies that watch them....and they just pulled the shows. What the fuck is going on??

4. That's exactly what I was wondering...
I was glad I got home in time to see Rachel, since I know she's not repeated on Fridays, and hoped we'd be granted an extra hour with Lawrence O'Donnell at 10, but that damn prison crap was already on when I tuned in just after 9... :wtf:

8. So much for "THE place for politics..."
I'm disappointed every Friday, since I usually forget that shows aren't repeated, but this week we don't even get to see them first run. And you're absolutely right that this is the season that we need them the most. Up thread somebody said that Lawrence O'Donnell is only on Mon-Thurs. I've been away and did not know that. But I thought that we could depend on Rachel. :(

7. welcome to weekends with MSNBC...
My XM radio goes to music or I go for public radio and if I had a tv, it would be off. As it is, the online stream gets a rest until Monday.

what I would like to know, is who the hell watches that crap? (or maybe not)

9. I stop MSNBC off on Friday after Ed
and return on Monday when Ed returns and until the end of O'Donnel. MSNBC must be losing many viewers on weekends - this prison stuff is crap. What is the purpose?

11. I've talked to many, many people about this.
And I haven't met one single person who watches the MSNBC prison-crap on weekends.
(Disclaimer: I have not asked any trailer-trash bubbas or bubbaettes; maybe they have a higher opinion of it)

served by just re-airing all of Ed's, Keith's, Rachel's, and Lawrence's shows for the week, on the weekend.

That's 20 hours of programming that can be re-aired on Saturday and Sunday. 10 on Saturday, 10 on Sunday.

18. I've often wondered why they don't do that...
It's certainly more timely and interesting than the prison crap and the old serial killer documentaries and they'd get more mileage out of the shows and personalities that viewers tune in to see. CNN does it with Larry King and I'd much rather see Keith, Rachel, Ed or Lawrence... :(

16. A lot of broadcasters seem to be on vacation this week (again).
Are you noticing that the broadcasters seem to get more and more vacation time, as the years go by? I guess it's a sign that they are no longer broadcasters, but more like stars of hit shows.

Morning Joe and sidekick Mika are on vacation...the girlie girl on the show with Chuck Todd at 8 a.m. CST is on vacation. Tweety was on vacation last week, I think.
