An aspect of pot that I've never seen discussed. . .
You can only get as high as the quality of pot. If you've got ditch weed, you can smoke 10 joints in a row and it's not going to get you any higher. The same is true of good pot.

Conversely, this not the case with LEGAL alcohol. The more you drunk, the drinker you get.

That is all. :hippie:

1. But one toke is not as bad on your lungs...
...as ten joints. :-)

An argument for better weed.

3. ...like that "legal" you threw out there
I've had a "homebrew" or two that I can only suppose must have been enhanced something beyond the normal fermenting process.

4. Continuing to smoke after getting high on pot doesn't get you higher...
...just lower on pot.

Props to Galliger.

6. THC has what I call a 'self-limiting' property
When a threshold is reached (which varies according to individual tolerance), there is no more desire to get even higher. With alcohol, a drunk individual will often continue to consume until unconscious, comatose or dead.

7. Yeah the warnings about how pot is so much more potent are bullshit.
Todays good weed is not that much different than it ever was. Someone that smokes it regularly is getting about the same experience. It just takes less.
Gallagher the comedian had a good line. "Don't smoke dope when you're already stoned. You don't get any stoneder, you just get lower on dope."
I would say that someone trying it for the first time should be careful with some real premium stuff. Especially if they are a cigarette smoker that would be comfortable taking long drags off a joint. I could see someone like that overdoing it. It still wouldn't be anything like someone drinking way too much. They would quickly get used to the high and be just fine.

12. That does NOT apply to ingested THC...
I have had friends try one of my brownies & think they OD'd..I could eat 6 or so but then I was ready for surgery or whatever.

Once I had a lump of hash-about 3 grams-that went through the washer/dryer. I thought it would be crap by then. So I cooked it lightly with some butter, mopped up the results with a piece of bread & ate it. Not tasty...
About 1/2 hour later I was "tripping"...As the day progressed I finally got to a comfortable high but the 1 st 3 hours or so were way too strong for me.

The only other time I had "too much" was some excellent Columbian Gold. It was sooo strong nothing today comes close.Just 3 tokes & I was into the netherlands...

Its one of those famous lost strains & I'd love to get some nowadays.
