WikiLeaks' Biggest Document Dump Yet Coming Monday: What to Expect
http://www.aolnews.com/surge-desk/article/wikileaks-biggest-document-dump-hits-monday-what-to-expect/19676512

(Oct. 15) -- It's happening again ... only bigger.

On Monday, the whistle-blower website WikiLeaks will release nearly 400,000 pages worth of classified U.S. Army documents on the war in Iraq, making it the single largest military leak in U.S. history. The number of documents will dwarf the 77,000 pages of sensitive material on the war in Afghanistan that WikiLeaks released in July.

In preparation for the arrival of the as-yet-unspecified material, the US military has set up a 120-person task force to begin reviewing a cache of classified documents it believes might be found in what WikiLeaks' embattled founder, Julian Assange, will make public, the AFP reported.

What will the documents say?

1. I hope they put this a-hole in jail. For some reason i seem to
think that releasing classified government documents is illegal.

2. I'd rather see the war criminals put away.
I guess it is just a matter of priorities.

9. He's not an American.
Why should he care if the government considers it illegal?

You do know, don't you, that they classify anything they want to hide from the citizens, no matter how compelling the public need?

7. Good. Most classified info is classified to hide it from review.

8. dump seems to be the operative word
Edited on Sat Oct-16-10 09:45 AM by stray cat
most of us have yet to see anything novel or unknown in any of the dumps. Now if there is ever any real information like a watergate that would make them an important asset for democracy or any real investigative reporting that I would applaud.

14. What we can "expect" is more whining from the Pentagon and White House.
You know, the White House that talks about "transparency in government". Except when it's embarrassing.
