Trenton woman who taunted girl is arrested, accused of assault

Jennifer Petkov, the Trenton woman who taunted 7-year-old Kathleen Edward in a feud with the girl's grandmother, was arrested Friday afternoon after being accused of trying to run over another neighborhood resident.

Petkov, 33, was charged in 33rd District Court in Woodhaven with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of reckless driving. The first charge carries a maximum penalty of four years in prison.

Reckless driving is a 93-day misdemeanor.

Trenton police said the charges stem from an incident in the 200 block of Detroit.

5. You know what's funny about people like this?

Today we give them names like "sociopath", say they have a "mental disorder" and various other labels that let you think somewhere in that package is a nice person who just happens to have a condition. I think in fact, she's just a vicious person. It's baked into her cake, so to speak. Same way you occasionally get a dog or cat that's so aggressive it can't be managed.
