The media was reporting that the Tea Party had split the Republican Party right down the middle. And that many Republicans had given up on voting after the last 8 years of the Bush debacle?
What if they reported that the Democrats were rejuvenated and ready to extend their majorities in the November elections? And that they were expected to get above the "magic" 6o seats in the Senate and to extend or hold their majority in the House?
What if the shoe was on the other foot? How would Republicans react? How would Democrats react? Would it be any different than the present narrative of the mainstream media?
Would it cause more Republicans to get out and vote or would it depress the Repub vote? Would the Democrats then be more enthusiastic?
It all depends whether or not the shoe is on the other foot? This would have a bearing on the election, don't you think??

1. I understand that the media narrative can help move votes. |
|
However what if the media explained honestly the ideas of both groups.
There is a comment that much of the media narratives is to influence things like vote turn out, but if dishonest, even for better goals, it loses credibility that can be used for teaching why one side or the other is better.
Furthermore, it does not give a reason why one side wins, and adds frustration and anger to some group after an election.

2. But , as usual, the polls can close the closer to election day... |
|
..and be closer to reality. But, by then, the damage has already been done.

3. The M$M knows now (after FoxNews altered the 2000 election) |
|
that they can influence people to vote the way their paymasters political agenda wants. Not everyone, but a large portion that watches any of the various M$M channels will hear the biased opinion of who to vote for by people that are supposed to be neutral.
