Maybe sometimes, an outrage is just a difference.
There are a lot of internecine battles that go on at DU these days.

I think I can help with one, small side-battle that erupts here too often.

When I take the Meyers-Briggs personality profile, "intuitive" pops right to the top. I'm sure many others here are the same despite whatever the following letters in their "type" might be.

What this means is that you are dealing with a person who watches for patterns that disclose something unseen or unspoken. Like Sherlock Holmes 24/7. It's enjoyable, often helps me "cut to the chase" in meetings and so forth (or decipher the truth behind a pile of dis-information). It doesn't always work and needs balance from the intellect.

I've gone all-round-the-houses here to point out that people who post sentiments like: "wow, that OP sure got unrec-ed fast!" or "Here come the un-recs!" or even "the un-rec-ing crew is here", just might be making a typical, fairly neutral comment - for them. Pattern recognition kicking in.

I don't comment about un-recs because it has become such a sore point. But it would be natural for me to do so... and to also not mean anything terribly important by it.

2. The thing is people think it is some indicators to play a song.
Edited on Sat Oct-16-10 04:59 PM by RandomThoughts
there are a variety of news stories, then a song that matches them.

They think in linear time, they think that the news stories created the idea to play the song, when in truth the song creates the impulse to post the correlating facts so that a song can be played.

You are thinking in linear time, when obviously that has nothing to do with it.

The music lives on, and those that laughed, will understand, that such sharing of love is a good thing. Those singers and songwriters do more good for society them the entire economic or governance system.
