Bad picture, bad headline.... The "Librul Media" in full swing.
Edited on Sun Oct-17-10 09:39 AM by Sparkly
Of all the photos they could have picked of Obama -- who's extremely photogenic -- Yahoo has this one as its main photo right now:

Next to it is a snarky headline: "Obamas' political road show plays Sunday in Ohio."

The same photo -- must be a favorite of the Yahoo folks today -- appears as an illustration for another article, as well:

"Poll: Many Obama 2008 supporters defecting to GOP"

Ominous title, right? Except the third paragraph tells us this:

Yet in a reflection of broad dissatisfaction with politics, just as many people who backed Republican presidential nominee John McCain are either supporting Democrats now or still considering how to vote.

I didn't even read the rest.

Sometimes they're just too obvious. :eyes:

1. They must have been up all night trying to find a bad picture of Obama.
The next two weeks will remind us every day why it's crucial that we support and promote the independent media. :grr:

10. Some grunt at Yahoo! got a huge pat on the back for this one.

We'll be seeing a lot of this one in 2012 for sure.

2. As I said in another thread, Liz Sidoti is one of the hackiest hacks that ever hacked for AP.
I first started getting weird vibes from her during the 08 presidential race. She's part of that new AP effort (like newsrooms everywhere) to do more editorializing instead of straight reporting. Because that's obviously why newspapers are going bankrupt, because they don't do enough telling the idiots among us how to think. :eyes:

3. I've always said that if the media was truly liberal, we wouldn't have been treated
to 8 years of GWB. I think that says it all.

4. A quote from the story......
"He ran as a centrist. I don't think he's a centrist at all. ... His whole economic platform is the more government spends, the better things are," Bonnaure said. "We have a far-left government. The answers are in the middle."

WTF? Are people in this country really that braindead, or brainwashed, anyway? Is the center THAT far right?
:wtf:

Stop this ride. I wanna get off.

13. People believe what the right wing media tells them to believe.
They think the bank bailouts and the insurance reform bill were left-wing socialist ideas, despite the fact that the left was largely opposed to both of these.

You need to delete all information in the link after .jpeg in this case I think is started with a question mark.

17. Hey -- the next shift must have taken over at Yahoo! Ha.
Or maybe enough people complained.

Now the headline about Ohio is: "Obama targets key groups in election's homestretch" (nothing about a "road show playing"), and the photo is this:
