WP puff piece pushes hard for Wasilla Quitta
I'm only quoting the five bullet points - the supposed 'myths' that the author of this dreck goes on to 'rebut':

1. Palin cost McCain the 2008 election.

2. Resigning as governor was rash.

3. Palin and the tea party are destroying the GOP.

4. Palin is extreme.

5. Palin is unelectable.

This is what we're up against: a complicit/compliant corporate media that pushes fabrication over fact and provides unabashed support for conservatives. With this so-called 'liberal media,' who needs an Americanized version of Pravda?

5. the only one that seems false to me is #4
1. McCain was expected to lose anyway from about November of 2007. Sorta like Mondale, he tried for a hail mary and lost even worse when it was intercepted for a touchdown.

2. apparently she is making millions as a TV celebrity, so how rash is that?

3. if they are still expected to win in November, how destroyed is the Republican Party? Progressives should be so destroyed.

4. even on that one it depends on the definition of extreme. Is she much to the right of W?

5. The Republican Party, and the nation, have a history of electing telegenic idiots, at least four times now, not including Harding. Reagan for two terms even though his Alzheimers was showing in 1984 and George W. Bush (yes there was some b.s. in Florida and SCOTUS but still almost 50% voted for him and again in 2004).
