It's after 11am on a Sunday, and still no FOX on Cablevision, News Corp = greed
News Corp are greedy bastards.

Over three million television viewers in New York and Philadelphia area missed Game 1 of the National League Championship Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the San Francisco Giants due to a dispute between Cablevision Systems Corp. and News Corp.'s Fox.

The two companies are disputing over increased rate fees for the rights to air Fox shows. Cablevision paid $70 million in the past for the rights to air Fox programming. Now Fox's parent company, News Corp., is demanding $150 million.

Both companies sat down to resolve the dispute yesterday, but an agreement was never reached upon. Negotiations will resume Sunday, according to Philly.com.

Saturday Cablevision subscribers were left with a blank television screen, instead of showing the game between the Phillies and the Giants.

Fox carries popular programming like Glee, NFL sports, WWE, and the MLB playoffs. If an agreement is not met between the two companies, Cablevision subscribers will miss out on that programming plus Fox 5, My9, Fox Business Network, NatGeo Wild, and Fox Deportes.

______________

FOX WANTS MORE THAN CABLEVISION PAYS FOR ABC, NBC, and CBS COMBINED

/also, cablevision rips apart news corp on their running ad... thats still running on FOX right now.

5. News Corp. practically gives Fox News away
First rule for spreading propaganda: always make sure it is getting out there and being spread. I think they actually have to pay cable/satellite companies to carry Fox Business.

4. Let Cablevision walk away from this
No need to give in to Faux's demands.

And have Cablevision remove all the remaining Faux channels and tell Murdoch to fuck off and find another sucker.

(For those in NY & Philly - sorry but I switched to satellite years ago, and have had no problems)

8. Go to the bar to watch bball on satellite, watch the other on HULU
Give your local bars the biz and tell Fox to go... Cheney themselves.

TV and cable free since 2003....(but not missing much of anything)

10. i hope faux does this everywhere and that cable companies
drop their butts. if faux was a channel i could choose, i would dump it. if all lib/progressives did the same, fuax would be marginalized tout de suite.

12. The interesting part is that I have no cable, just get the free over the air
stations, and Fox is one of those stations. So if you will be too upset about missing Glee, unplug.
