12. No, I'm not advocating it...

...I'm just saying...hypotheically...that Angle's "Man Up" remark is the kind of thing that normally sends DU into meltdown mode if it comes from a man. So "if" he responded in similar fashion, how would people feel about it?

I personally believe that sexism / racism / homophobia / religious intolerance / etc SUCKS regardless of the source, but society does tend to cut more slack for a woman making inappropriate comments than it does a man.

I'm not seeing as much outrage over Angle making the statement as I would if Reid had made a similar statement. Period. If you have proof to the contrary, now would be the time to post those links our fellow DUers love so much.

women unanimously are saying it is sexist and wrong. a woman wrote an article on the "mean girl" mentality of these women republicans.

i think women easily recognize it for what it is and are that much more offended for this woman using it.
