Response to :Are you willing to defend Democratic Party principles against Republican principles..?
Last night there was a very good post that asked the Question:
Are you willing to defend Democratic Party principles against Republican principles..?

I had a couple of responses but it really put me into some deep thought.
I assume that I to have been drawn into the self loathing that accompanies being a Democratic.
Well what I have discovered is that we as Democrats are always on the defense.
The Republicans have done a good job of that, plus when we are in control we spend much of our time correcting their policies.
But the Democratic principles that I will defend against the Republicans are our accomplishment as Democrats.
Here is a Post I found, I share it in hopes of us gaining understanding of our accomplishment and we will defend against any changes.

We help those who are powerless to help themselves.
