There is no plan B on DADT and that is worrying

I certainly hope we can pass a DADT repeal in the lame duck session, but I honestly doubt it. We are currently at 58 votes (Liberman, Sanders, and every Democrat except Lincoln and Pryor). We will need 60 as McCain is going to filibuster. We will lose one since the winner of WV, where both candidates oppose repeal will be immediately seated. If we lose any of CO, IL, DE, and NY those will also be immediately seated and cost us a vote. We are behind in both CO and IL currently. Say we split those. We now have 56 votes and need 4 Republicans. To my knowledge we have only five possibilities. Voinovich, Lugar, Collins, Snowe, and Brown. We would need 4 of those 5. The last 4 need to win primaries in the future.

What is our plan B if we lose the House in these elections and can't get the lame duck Senate to pass a repeal? It would be nice to know. It would be nicer still to have a plan B.

1. McCain could be full of hot air. He's not exactly diligent
when it comes to keeping his word.

8. How have the wingnuts been behaving? I haven't seen any reaction
yet but I don't watch corporate media so I won't see anything until tomorrow morning unless it's posted here.

Frank Schaeffer told me that they don't care nearly as much about this as they do about abortion.

2. The plan B is to appeal, get the ruling reversed and talk about how Obama can't do it himself.
Then, vote for him in 2 years so he can do it in the second term where all the good shit is supposed to happen.
