Koch Industries awaits Venezuela takeover

CARACAS: Koch Industries said it had received no word that Venezuela nationalised Fertinitro, a large fertilizer maker in which the US-based group has a substantial stake.

Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez announced that the takeover of Fertinitro, one of the world’s main producers of nitrogen fertilizer, days after vowing to radicalize his socialist “revolution” following legislative elections last month.

Koch has a 35 per cent stake in Fertinitro and Venezuelan state-run petrochemicals company Pequiven has 35 per cent. Saipem, a unit of Italy’s Eni, holds 20 per cent and local brewer and food company Polar has the rest.

28. The brothers bought one of our local paper plants then promptly closed it down

bought it with intentions of shutting it down. This plant was built back right after ww2 and was being constantly upgraded, in fact they had just installed a new paper making machine just a year or so before they bought it. With the closing went about 200 good paying union jobs, Some of the workers had never worked anywhere else, their dad or mother worked there before they did and these assholes buy it just to shut it down, shifted the production to other non union paper plants they own so I hope Hugo gives them a good ole okie fucking or in this case a good ole Chavez screwing
