Full Frontal MSM Assault To Depress D Voters Now Under Way |
|
Obama draws 35,000 in Columbus - nary a word in the media.
Palin draws 2,000 on the same day - tea party revolution is surging!
Yahoo - "Obama's coalition is CRUMBLING!!!" "Obama voters switching to GOP." Right. And when bush was at 28% approval the Ds were still shaking in their boots over his "incumbent power," at least if you listened to the MSM.
Poll results favoring Rs are used even if that means using numbers that are 3 weeks old.
Media reports on various debates focus on the tea party/RW personalities, and how they went "head-to-head" with the D candidate, not on the substance, which included lots of lying and fake statistics.
Rs have more $ to spend than Ds so, naturally, that means they will win automatically (when the spending is actually pretty even).
And on and on it goes.
They are looking to depress voter turnout among Ds.
If that doesn't work, they are trying to create a meme of received opinion that the Rs are going to win in a landslide, so when the Rs don't win in a landslide they can question the results and scream "voter fraud."

...They're trying to suppress everything D. Volunteers, people who make phone calls, those who canvas and drive people to the polls. They want us to collectively say, "Why bother?"
It's obvious that the powers-that-be want a Republican slaughter. I dare to say that many Dems in power want this too. It's a bit uncomfortable for our Dems (who have the WH, and majorities in both Houses) to explain why our agenda is not passing. All of this "but...but...legislating is such hard work!" is laughable. And they know it.
I think there's planned election fraud. I also think suppressing the D vote by making us feel hopeless is another tactic.
I also know that if Republicans do win many, many races and attain the majorities they desire---it will be the teabaggers turn to cry in their cups. They'll have to sit by--with majorities--and watch their own elected representatives kow tow to the corporations and ignore the promises of "change" made during this election.

5. I was at Columbus ralley yesterday, it was a great crowd. |
|
Not many old people like myself (62) in the crowd mostly students. This morning I turned Faux on and Brian Kilmeade read the story, he said it drew a crowd of 35000, the largest crowd Obama had since his inauguration. Then Steve Doocy says the Glenn Beck rally drew 10 times that many. Then I go to the Today show and they're talking about Sarah Palin going on tour with the Teabaggers Express.

12. they were saying that on the LOCAL news station this morning. |
|
how half of those who voted for obama will be voting republican this time. they have a segment they talk about national stuff with this one lady. they were saying how the dems are doing so bad in the polls and they are going to lose big. just ridiculous. if i didn't actually look things up online i might believe them. this is ridiculous. they want me to think i shouldn't even bother voting. oh i am voting. i may not be as enthused as i was last year as i held my daughter and let her pull the lever in the voting booth, but i'll be voting nonetheless. i haven't seen anyone address the issue of non landline voters like myself and therefore find any polls suspect.

14. Media responding to republican money |
|
I think the money is influencing the news. All the Repubs need to do is stop spending money where the news doesn't favor them to get the news producers to slant the news their way.

24. The media is been trying to supress the D vote for over a year. |
|
This didn't just start.
For months and months, the media has been taking rightwing obstruction to Obama (claiming he goes too far), and combing it with any left wing disappointment (claiming he did not go far enough), then adding those together, and then using it to claim that "the majority" think Obama is going too far.
