63. Does a late-night fart lighting contest with Rumsfeld count?
What if Rove used a spreadsheet to keep score based on the following categories?

1. Length of combustion (in feet).
2. Duration of combustion (in seconds).
3. Color variation.
4. Recognizability of food source based on olfactory evidence.
5. Crowd reaction.
6. Lighting efficiency (number of attempts).
7. Creativity (i.e. illuminating a painting of Bush Sr.).

Its so great to have a President who encourages this kind of thing. Betting, though this story never appeared on Fox News..

Aw! Silly me, Why would they??

They would have perhaps had a story about how flat Earthers were not allowed to show, for example how the Earth is the center of the Universe, and how they have proven everything revolves around the earth.

No one "believes" in science. You trust it and what it reveals. "Belief" is for philosophy and religion.

But, I know what you meant. And YES.... after 8 years of gut thinking.

So glad to see at least one Montanan in the ranks!

Although she now attends a private high school in Billings, she and her classmates at Will James Middles School designed the solar-powered car together. Will James is a public school. http://www.ktvq.com/news/local-student-receives-high-praise-from-obama/

Yes, public education CAN work - if it's not starved and discouraged by lack of funds and constant unfair media attacks, mostly from the RW. Congratulations to ALL these young people and to the classmates who also assisted but who were not present to meet the Prez!

So proud of all his work- he even wore a tie outside of church! So clear with his one-word hypothesis (big werd!) and so concise in the delivery of his one-word conclusion (another big werd!)!!!

From a "bible science fair" in Ohio, Indiana, Kansas, Middle Missourah (rhymes with spahgetta), Kansas or maybe some southern state... origin is unclear.

it's just more shoveling poop against the stupid tide.

As soon as he is out of office and is replaced with some sort of right wing fundie (don't think it won't happen), anything science related will vanish from the landscape.

These types of programs that Obama is promoting will be looked upon by us as once upon a time happy memory.

In about 10 years pundits will be questioning whether or not the sun revolves around the earth.

67. What I find really heartening about this?
We have a president who actually looks interested and engaged. You really get the impression in these photos he is comfortable with the students, wants to learn about what he is seeing and can understand when it is explained to him. Unlike other presidents who can remain unnamed.
