I'll question Rand Paul's faith
Edited on Mon Oct-18-10 06:20 PM by Tony_FLADEM
How can someone who is a person of faith oppose the Americans with Disabilities Act?

How can a person of faith think it should be legal for businesses to discriminate against African Americans?

How can someone who has Christian beliefs side with Corporations when it comes to worker safety rules and the minimum wage.

Rand Paul's indifference towards people who are different such as the disabled and also people who are vulnerable such as the elderly is a moral issue.

1. How can you know those are his beliefs.
Maybe he is running to make a certain group look bad.

2. In the past he has said those are his positions on the issues.

8. Lets make it a bit more simple.
Look at him for his positions on issues, and if he acts on those positions. Not a label of a belief system he has.

There are many types of Christians, Muslims, and Jewish people. As with many other religions.

10. Rand Paul is running from a religious state. If Jack Conway wants to question
Rand Paul's faith, his positions on the issues are more relevant than that "aqua Buddha" ad he is currently running.

11. There is manipulation all over that race.
Not sure what is going on, only seen news stories on that topic.

Are they also going after many other fraternity groups, they did the same thing in college. Or many secret societies with odd rituals.

So I agree, it is another example of targeted justice, not real justice.

3. I question the faith of any 'Christian'...
who wants to pull the rug out from under the poor and sick. That is not what Jesus would do. God, I'm tired of some liberals tiptoeing around just speaking the truth. Sometimes the truth is ugly - it's not all lovey, touchy, feely. Liberals should be bold. Why is it the evil people are always so bold? The good people keep quiet because they don't want to rock the boat, and the next thing you know, a segment of the population is being carted off to death camps while the quiet people who don't want to cause a fuss wring their hands.

6. The president has not done anything for people to question his religion. Rand Paul's position on
the issues is not rooted in Christianity. Rather it is more a Social Darwinism. From that perspective, one could question his beliefs.

7. Sounds like you are questioning most Christians to me.
Personally I go further than supporting Government programs. I ask why Christians don't take the homeless into their own houses and feed them at their dinner tables.

9. I'm only questioning Rand Paul
There is no empathy or charity involved in the positions he takes. Rather, it's let the strong survive and the weak parish, which I don't think is rooted in Christianity.

16. I have no question as to his faith
He says he's Christian but acts the opposite. What more is needed.
