Anyone know the scoop on "Center for Individual Freedom"? Is it one of the Rove funded groups? |

They are pushing loads of anti-Dem ads in NC - you look at their website and it claims "non-partisan"....yeah, right. Wikipedia has them as neocon and conservative issue pushing...anyone else getting blasted with their ads in other states? Nothing but the typical lies...aimed at the Faux news crowd, I suspect.

But the tip-off is generally buzzwords like "freedom" and the name of the organization is such that you wonder who they're fighting against? Is there anyone who is publicly stating, in so many words, that they're against individual freedom? Well, no. So you can bet that it's probably some Republican/Repressive outfit designed to look like grassroots when it's really Astroturf.
Thanks again for the Citizens United decision, Supreme Court. The decisions of democracy are now driven by the highest bidder, and there's no limit on how much can be spent for "nonpartisan" nonsense. When the donor list is finally published (if ever), the organization itself disappears without a trace, there's nobody accountable, and any fines levied by the FEC will go forever uncollected. And next election cycle? We'll hear terrifying ads from the Individual Freedom Center, which is completely distinguished from the Center for Individual Freedom.
