TV ad he ran against Teabagger Rand Paul, I found myself saying out loud "Jesus Christ!(sorry---that's what I said)How much did they pay this sonofabitch for such an obvious hatchet job?"
He kept telling Conway that he had "questioned Paul's religion" and finally asked another guest if Conway was trying to "impose a religious test" contrary to the Constitution. And, that, out of the mouth of good ol' Tweety, established the false premise upon which he hung his entire transparently partisan interview.
What did Conway do to poor little Rand to merit all this pearl clutching and disgust?
He asked some questions about Rand voluntarily joining a group in college that had been banned for ridiculing Christianity. He also referenced a woman's public account of being forced, by Rand and others in this group, to bow down and "worship" something called "Aqua Buddha". She called Mr. Paul "sadistic" and said she'd never spoken to him afterward.
Fairly considered, Conway's ad questioned Paul's tolerance of others' beliefs and his character. The assertion that he "questioned Rand Paul's faith" is just total bullshit. Wouldn't you think a clean-cut, pure-as-the-driven-snow Christian libertarian like Mr. Paul could find time to actually DENY such allegations? You'd be wrong.
He has quibbled with the term "kidnapping" and said it was "all in fun", but he has not said that did not happen. His campaign still persists in what the press is callind a "non-denial denial".
So, Conway is "over the top" in asking for a response to these so far unanswered allegation?
I am tired of listening to Democrats who take library books to knife fights! Conway is FIGHTING against a monstrous and grotesque group of know-nothing-and-damn-proud-of-it political terrorists! And, in my opinion, Chris Mathews' falsely premised hit job is what was "over the top".
He forfeited what little benefit of the doubt I had tried to give him. As my wife commented, if Christine O'Donnell had run a similar ad in her campaign, Tweety would have thought it was "cute". He's a "Viagara voter" and, apparently, more concerned with pleasing his corporate masters than maintaining the meager shreds of his integrity that survived his obsession with Bill and Monica.
I will not watch or listen to him again and will question the judgement of anyone who quotes him.
That is all.

Maybe I am in the wrong crowd to say this... But I love Mathews, because he does that to anyone in front of him, regardless of party.
