2. I posted on it a few days ago, others have as well
but there's not much interest - all people want to talk about is voting.

3. I was on the treadmill at the gym tonight
and noticed both ABC & CBS both did stories on it - even mentioned that the reason was raise in the retirement age.

Then Diane Sawyer said the retirment age in the U.S. is 64. I haven't figured out how she came up with that. I know someone my age can collect Social Security at 62 - but as I'd like to keep the rent paid and eat I'll be working at least until I get to my "full benefit" retirement age of 66 and if I work until I'm 70 I'll collect over $500 more/month than I would at 66 (unless the Catfood Commission changes that). I figure I can use the extra money to pay for my medigap and part D insurance. (So let's remember that not only do the French get to retire earlier, they don't have to worry about medical care when they do.)

13. And yet we sit idly by and allow it to happen. The French, on the other hand,
don't just sit idly by and let themselves be fucked over.

When are Americans going to grow a spine?

7. The French government is asking airlines to cancel flights.
This is to reduce chaos in the cities.

11. This country is bought and paid for by Wall Street and it
against the corporate media's interest to show Americans how to take their country back.
