4. It's Messed Up
A lot of the job postings are fraudulent too.

However, I have sold a car and furniture on craigslist.

5. yeah, there seems to be lots of fraudulent job postings on CL

While my DH was looking for work, we'd check daily and might find ONE legitimate listing every couple of weeks. Lots of scams though.

13. Never? OK, then never do e-commerce.
Never click on links that you are suspect of. If you have any doubts, simply don`t follow the link. And certainly don`t download software thru a link on craigslist. But NEVER click on a link in a email? C`mon.

19. It is possible, when necessary, to cut and paste into a browser.
There are other things that are possible too, but for your average naive Microsoft Outlook user, the best thing to tell them is never click on a link in an email, in my experience. If you make it too complicated, they will not change what they do.

9. Nope. If this guy wants to know if it's the same....
he asks for you to email him a photo then he decides.

I never click on links in email unless it's someone I know and I'm actually expecting a specific link from this person.

21. But what does this have to do with anything politics or even our internet security?
I get 100 spam messages a day from people and easily a handful whenever posting something for sale on craigslist. I'm just wondering why fill up GD with something that happens to all of us all day every day.

This is like me running over something in the road on the way to work and then getting on GD to tell everyone else to watch out for it.

A washer and dryer for $200.00

A living room set for $200.00

If I didn't need the money I would give it all to the Salvation Army, Goodwill, or The Mustard Seed.
