3. To keep things simple for simple-minded like me
Anyone with a surname of Bush, Quayle, Walker is a non-starter. There has been too much damage done by those few families to ever consider them for public office.

8. This is a deep, deep red district. Until hit by some scandal (Google, please)
he was a slam-dunk.

4. I live in the district and marked my ballot already
I voted for the Democrat and hope he wins. Quayle is more of a problem for himself than anything, and hopefully Progressives here won't fall for 3rd party candidates who couldn't win, and vote for them because they are fooled that the Green Party candidate is a real choice. That would be the same as voting for Ben Quayle, so I hope we pay attention to that fact.

5. That's good news!
Thanks for the update. I haven't had time to follow all the AZ races, and would like to see more info an how they stand. I know, for example, that Grijalva's in a particularly tough race because of the stand he took against SB 1070 and his call for a boycott. He's also co-chair of the Progressive Caucus in the House, and I'd hate to see him lose.

:hi:
