Should the fat cats be protected so they may benefit from their own destructive behavior, while everyone else suffers?

Incidentally, I'm curious as to how exactly the preservation and defense of mega-banks produces jobs and aids the economy--would you explain?

Maybe the speaker ran for office out of vanity but is willing to help out "fat cat bankers" as part of his daily job routine.
