I used to belong to an investment club. I don't recommend it.

You have to pay $150 to join and then add at least $25/month.

I was in maybe 1 1/2 years, and I lost my shirt. I didn't join with the unrealistic idea that I would make mucho dinero in a short time, but the money I'd put into the club, about $800, I lost about 1/2.

As far as learning about investments, I think you'd do better with reading up on the subject, or a college class/community course.

But why I quit was, someone saying we can't afford a national health plan, and another person saying we COULDN'T extend Medicare to cover everybody because then it would pay out more for younger people than older ones (Like her). In other words, I've got mine, sucks to be you.

I never polled these people, but I'd bet my next paycheck that all but myself and one other were Republicans.

YMMV with investment clubs. I'm through with 'em.

Plus, I don't think anybody can pick stocks and make mucho money on them. Not unless you run in particular circles.
