OR-4: DeFazio (D) 48%, Robinson (R) 42 (in a GOP Poll!)
Despite massive funding from Concerned Taxpayers of America (both of them!), and massive ostentatious display of signage, Robinson is unable to catch DeFazio. This poll is from Wilson Research Strategies, a GOP outfit.

http://www.oregoncatalyst.com/index.php/archives/3578-Three-polls-DeFazio-6%25-from-losing,-Wyden-gains,-Senate-DR-forecast.html

This is the first poll I've seen (apart from Robinson's internal last summer, where he claimed he was up by 1)--yet this page is spinning it as DeFazio "slipping."

Other blogs are saying, "If DeFazio is only ahead by 6, what else is in store for Democrats?" But this ignores the shadowy outside funding and the Green party challenger.

Do not let up. Tell your friends in the district to vote for Peter DeFazio, one of the best Democrats in the House.

1. It's the trend. There's a new Silent Majority in America and it's tired of the screamers.
Great news. :)

2. I'm cautiously optimistic, but having said that,
keep these positive posts for Dems coming!!!

:applause:

Maybe all that money won't make a difference after all. A girl can dream.

3. K&R Robinson is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. A self proclaimed "scientist" that has
"unequivocally proven" that global warming is a myth (he has scientific PROOF, and he's a scientist!!!). He had Rachel LITERALLY banging her head on her desk during their interview (granted, that's because the fucking moron couldn't seem to understand how a satellite delay works, which is probably par for the course for any Repuke "scientist", but also because of Robinson's FUCKING nincompoopery). Kick for DeFazio!!! :)

4. Out in the rural areas where I live,
the Robinson signs are all over the place, sometimes five or six attached to one larger one. While that could indicate enthusiasm, to me it kind of comes across as desperate.

OR-4 includes Eugene, which will likely be strong for DeFazio. Also, there is a medical MJ initiative on the ballot, which should encourage more people to vote.

10. Same with Dudley statewide.
Too many frickin' signs everywhere -- including Portland. I-5 is plastered with giant Dudley billboards all the way down the Willamette Valley.

5. The fact that Robinson has 42% is frightening enough.
He is certifiable! When Rachel quoted his writing to him, he accused her of being sarcastic and attacking him. He may be the first guest who caused her to bang her head on the table.

6. Robinson is a monster
For him to have 42% is horrifying. If he should win, I can't even bear to think of it. He is certifiable.

9. Update: a REAL poll shows DeFazio ahead by 14!
DeFazio Leads Robinson by 14 in New OR-04 Poll
A new Grove Insight poll shows Representative Peter DeFazio leading Republican challenger Art Robinson by 14 percent. In the initial head-to-head in the race for Oregon’s 4th congressional district, DeFazio leads Robinson 53 percent to 39 percent. Conducted October 11-12, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error.
