What an impressive man! He spoke passionately against Rand Paul's comments about veteran's benefits and the ADA. Compelling figure...
Conway himself seemed energized and resolute. He didn't mention today's internal poll which shows him taking the lead; that should be a real boost in the next few days.

2. That's good. I'm sure he will speak out loud and clear for our veterans and the ADA. |

4. Cleland should be in Congress after his victory in 02 in GA. |
|
Instead, he's a walking advertisement for hand-counted paper ballots.
GA switched to all touchscreen, totally faith-based elections in 02 and Cleland and former gov Barnes were the first victims.
Pre-election polls had Barnes up 11 points and Cleland up 5 points.
Barnes lost by 5, a statistically virtually impossible 16-point swing, and Cleland lost by 8, a 13-point swing, also statistically virtually impossible.
Glad to see him doing what he does so well and should have been doing since 02: politicking.
He's a good antidote to the smearing and jeering electioneering of the Repubs.

5. I god dam near cried the one time I saw him, when he wheeled his way down the aisle |
|
It was at a campaign event for John Edwards. It was at a VFW hall and there were maybe 100 people in the audience. He wheeled his way right past my son and I and I thought to myself, so this is what it means when the say "there but for the grace of god go I". And I thought about what he had lost and it absolutely choked me up, right then and there.
We owe that man ...
