Joe Barton and Christine O'Donnell think they are SO SMART...

O'Donnell asks Coons about the first amendment and separation of church and state. She thinks she's really stumping him, turns to the audience with a great big self satisfied grin. Actually she's making a fool of herself and doesn't know they are laughing at her.

Joe Barton asks the Secretary of Energy, Stephen Chu, Nobel Prize Winner, about where the oil in Alaska comes from and Mr. Chu tried to explain continental drift. Barton thinks he's really fooled this "smart guy" when Mr. Chu politely tries to explain this, and does not tell Barton what sort of a complete idiot he is.

I've just noticed this pattern. They put down anyone with a Nobel Prize, because they're not smart enough to earn one, but they are convinced they're smart than those intelleckshuls they don't trust -- the ones that perpetuate "hoaxes" like global warming.

Let's see: Stephen Chu, Paul Krugman, Barack Obama, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter...obviously slackers (SARCASM).

They really really hate smart people.

:banghead:
