Oh gawd, they have O'Donnell people campaigning outside the local Planned Parenthood

I about puked.

Normally I don't take that way into work but I was running a few minutes behind and was taking a short cut to work and ended up on the street that goes past Planned Parenthood in downtown Wilmington. Mind you, that Planned Parenthood is one of the few places where the women of Wilmington can get affordable healthcare and birth control. And there is a giant truck covered with O'Donnell stickers along with campaigners and pro-lifers.

Does O'Donnell realize that abortion services for that planned parenthood run less than 1% of the overall service that office provides. Does she and her supporters think she'll gain support by standing outside and harassing people.

It's bad enough she wants to repeal Obama's health care plan including programs that can help low income families but to attack Planned Parenthood is just wrong.

5. Many right wing fundies oppose birth control too, not just abortion

Several years ago socializing with some neighbors that I didn't realize were fundies, I was shocked to discover that they demonize Margaret Sanger for empowering women because they believe women should not try to interfere with God's plans for promoting life. I told them I couldn't believe they thought women should have no control whatsoever over their own reproduction. Even Sarah Palin has made remarks favoring sex education and birth control.
