Anyone in the DC Area see the DISTURBING Missy Smith tv ad?

So I'm sitting in bed last night, watching the local evening news when a screen comes up saying something to the effect of: The views expressed in this advertisement are not necessarily the views of this station... warning - pictures are graphic.

What follows is picture after picture after picture of aborted fetuses. As graphic as you can possibly imagine. I didn't know what the fuck I was watching. After recoiling in horror, I figured this must be the advertisement of some ultra right wing "pro-life" group... but instead it ended by telling me to help end the murder of children, abuse of mothers, and vote for Missy Smith.

Who the fuck is Missy Smith?? I just did a search and apparently she is challenging Eleanor Holmes Norton for DC's Congressional seat.

Anyway... I don't know what my point is other than to say there is a deranged lunatic running for Congress in DC who is visually assaulting the public with her fucked up ads. Anyone know any more about this?

The most disturbing thing is that, if it is true that stations must air ANY ad without "censorship" that a legally qualified candidate wants to air, I can only imagine what types of offensive, untrue, etc., stuff we will be seeing.

I was under the impression that stations were OBLIGED not to air certain types of content but I must be wrong about that.
