Gulf oil spill ...the dolphins are back. Pics "dialup warning"
Tampabay St. Pete FL The dolphins have returned. I had not seen any for the last 3 weeks. The oil spill had me very worried that I'd never see them here in my life time ever again. I wasn't quick enough to get pictures of some pods that came within 15 feet from my boat. I saw 2 pods and 2 singles that day. One of the pods had a baby. I don't know why but I just love them. I can sense their intellegence. I've had them look up right at me next to my boat.

Yea that's me

Leaving the harbor

1. We were at Clearwater in August - the dolphins were swimming right up to us
Incredible Pics btw.

I didn't realize dolphins had fled the Tampa Bay area. I know the experience we had in August was incredible. It was like to experiences you have to pay for, swimming with the dolphins, only we didn't and it was in the wild, just 10 yards or less from the sand.

It was like they wanted to play with the beach goers.

Did I tell you those are incredible pics?

:hi:

The reflections on the water

are just great.

14. Wonderful - thank you for updating with more numbers!
I went to college at then Florida Presbyterian (now Eckerd) back in 1970. My first dorm room overlooked the Gulf and I could see the dolphins out in the water almost every day. That is the one thing I miss about moving away from the ocean.
