Ginni Thomas: "what you did WITH my husband" |
|
She's asking Anita Hill to apologize for an affair, not for the accusation!

2. That's had me wondering about this deal |

I could see her forgiving and forgetting a sexist remark. But an affair could have her stewing for a century.
So, did he "apologize" for an affair?
This is all so screwy. Maybe like a DUer remarked earlier - she had one too many glasses of wine.

7. I remember some RWer attacking a Dem's wife for "turning him gay" |
|
making it the fault of the wife for him straying (a probable pre-emptive strike, laying the groundwork for an attack on Hillary Clinton).
Why isn't this RW pundit going on and on about how Ginni Thomas drove her husband to seek some nookie elsewhere?

Anita Hill would never have slept with Clarence Thomas. They way she talked about him she was nothing but disgusted by him. He's a pig and she tried to point that out to everyone and was castigated for it. What is so shocking about the phone call is that everyone knows what happened, including Thomas's wife yet she had the unmitigated gall to try and pretend that Hill lied. Typical Republican insanity, blame the victim.

GInni may have recently asked Clarence to tell her the truth. He copped to a tryst with Anita, which would mean that he actually told the truth in his testimony -- it was consensual consummation, so he never "sexually harassed" Hill. After Thomas ended the affair, Anita testified against him as "a spurned or scorned woman," in the immortal words of Sen. Howell Heflin of Alabama. So Ginni's angry not about Hill's public accusation but her failure to privately apologize for seducing her man.

8. Huh? I don't remember Thomas calling his relationship with Hill consensual consummation! |
|
Really? Did he imply they had an affair and Ms. Hill was just angry with him? Gosh, I think I would have remembered that!

I'm just speculating on what Clarence may have told Ginni! Of course Anita Hill was telling the truth!
