Things that people forget (or never knew) |
|
Corporations don't CARE if its employees live the "dream".. they care about the bottom line.
Most politicians don't care how desperate many of their constituents' lives are...at election time they pretend to care
Most pols are in-it-to-win-it, and once in, will do whatever it takes to STAY "in-it", because that's how family-wealth is built (THEIR family).
Rich people (especially the super-rich) have always called (and always will call) the shots.
Other than your immediate circle of family & friends, not many care whether you live or die, are healthy or sick.
Our culture worships money and things.
What passes for "news" is not...and hasn't been for a very long time. News is a recounting of events that HAPPENED. The mine disaster in Chile was news. our political gyrations? NOT news.. all conjecture & spin.
You cannot change a sincerely-held belief..not with guns, bombs, intimidation, occupation, etc.
add your own, if you like:)

They do care about the short-term bottom line. They are incapable of conceiving the long-term bottom line. If they could, they would recognize that their policies are not sustainable.
