hey, if the right-wing scum can impeach over a bj, or threaten to impeach obama over... well, they don't even know yet, then we sure as hell can impeach thomas.
never should have been confirmed in the first place, and surely lied to congress to get that confirmation.
i'd like another wise latina, please!

I think there are solid grounds for both.

4. Interesting historical tidbit... |
|
Only one Supreme Court Justice, Samuel Chase (one of the signatories to the Declaration of Independence), has ever been impeached. The House of Representatives accused Chase of letting his Federalist political leanings affect his rulings, and served him with eight articles of impeachment in late 1804. The Senate acquitted him of all charges in 1805, establishing the right of the judiciary to independent opinion. Chase continued on the Court until his death in June 1811.

Former Lincoln administration treasury secretary Salmon P. Chase is on the $10K bill. (He was also on the Supreme court, though, so there's certainly room for confusion).

12. ah, thanks, i read post #4 too quickly |
|
i saw "chase" and connected it with salmon p.
and actually, yes, most $10,000 bills you'll ever see in real life, if any, are likely to be bad -- there was a recent story about someone trying to pass one off and the article stated that virtually all the remaining $10,000 bills in "circulation" are in the hands of private collector.
no one in their right mind would part with a genuine one at face value.
