Tea Party ‘founder’: Palin, Gingrich a ‘joke’

A financial blogger and ex-CEO credited with being one of the original "founders" of the Tea Party has come out against the movement, saying it has been hijacked by the very people it was protesting and is now obsessed with "guns, gays and God."

In a "message" to the Tea Party Wednesday, Karl Denninger declared that he "ought to sue" anyone who uses the Tea Party name "for defamation."

"Yeah, that's a joke," he writes. "But so are you. All of you. Especially Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Bob Barr, and douchebag groups such as the 'Tea Party Patriots.'

1. How can they claim the Teabagger movement was hijacked when they welcomed those scum with open arms?
As if they were supposedly allies. Didn't the thought occur to them that these supposed allies were the ones who are members of the neo-con organizations responsible for the problems they were complaining about?

2. Exactly!
This little Faustian drama is all their own doing. See what happens when you can't see past the end of your own nose?

3. And This Is Their "Victory Lap"
Guess the original teabaggers didn't get the memo about being a rushpublican. You're only good when you serve the purpose of the party elite. When you no longer do, you're tossed aside or under the bus. Suckers!!!

They still don't realize they got played from the get-go. The GOOP realized it needed to "rebrand" itself and the entire teabagging "movement" was astroturfed using useful idiots who could get the publicity and then provide the cover while the Roves, Armeys and other operatives (loaded with corporate cash) used this to promote their proxies without the taint of the boooosh years on them. They gambled that people are both stupid and short-sighted. They might be right.

The fun will be watching the inevitable demolition derby that will ensue following the elections. If Teabaggers win, they'll become McConnell's biggest nightmare and asshats like DeMint, Bachmann and their ilk are sure to demand major assignments and power. If they lose, they become the scapegoats as the "adults" take control...or try to. It will lead to a very amsuing 2012 primary season as this inept party has no true leaders. Should the GOOP win the House then will be stymied in many ways as the promises they make to the teabaggers will never reach a gridlocked Senate just as much as any Democratic iniatives. The natives will remain restless and clueless for the forseeable future.

8. It warms the cockles of my heart
to hear a greedy SOB chastise others - actually calling them 'douchebags' - in his so-called 'movement.'
