The newest document dump has a couple of points of interest to John McKay's situation--in set 6, page 47 of 50, on March 5, 2007 Monica Goodling recounts the amazing story of how John McKay muscled his way into the White House and got a sham interview with Harriet Miers for a federal district court appointment, even though he wasn't on the list of candidates recommended by the local Republican committee. What is interesting is Monica's revelation that this was a sham interview and that knowledge of the Washington State committee
s selections had gone beyond the people who were "supposed to know the results. In Set 9, pages 23 of 29 and 25 of 29 are two interesting letters to Mr. McKay from Mary Beth Buchanan and Michael Battle, talking about the fine results his office had received during its managament evaluation.
