According to the latest Kentucky Poll, Conway continues to narrow the gap with Paul. In statewide results released at 6 p.m. on Oct. 20, 43% of likely, registered voters said if the election were held today they would vote for Conway. 48% said they would vote for Paul. While Paul continues to lead Conway, that lead is narrowing..

4. Maybe as we get closer to election day, people are starting to actually look at the candidates.
If Rand Paul were a bed, you would see bedbugs if you threw his sheets back.

6. The gap is narrowing (and in one poll Conway is slightly ahead).

Clearly Conway has landed some direct hits and the residents of Kentucky are thinking twice about Mr. Aqua Buddha.

7. Defining your opponent, framing the debate.
Despite all the hand wringing and pants pissing by the usual Democratic Party wussies, going after Rand Paul head on works. Right now, if you play word association with "Rand Paul" the overwhelming response will be "aqua buddha". That can't be good for Mr. Paul. Is that enough to swing the election? Probably not, but it helps.

9. Makes One Go Hmmmm...
Here we are in the closing days of one of the most contentious elections in memory where the money is flying around by the boatload. It's become a cottage industry for the pollsters and corporate media. The billions of special interest and party money are flying around to radio and TV stations around the country...a much needed bonanza to an industry that has been hit hard by the drop of consumer spending. The closer the races the more the candidates spend...the more money goes to the corporate media. It also allows them to create the election "cliff-hanger" narrative to pull eyeballs to their coverage and build up ratings. One-sided polls at this stage means millions lost in corporate pockets.
