I Can't Defend the Administration on DADT Any More
http://conversation101.squarespace.com/dadt/

Just had to get it off my chest. I just want this administration to be one that makes people's lives EASIER, and this seems like a great way to do that. With a 4 year old daughter and another on the way, it just seems to me time to be able to tell that that no matter where life takes them, their country will be there to help them live their lives however they want. Plus, I really want this to be the president to help get them there.

1. Try this thread. It explains why THEY HAD to appeal this decision.

3. Then why didn't they appeal
the "fundies in parks" ruling?

More apologist nonsense.

17. Because that did not involve a statutory mandate

That ruling involved a regulation by an executive agency, not a statute passed by Congress.

Bonus points for identifying who runs the executive branch.

4. They did NOT have to appeal this decision, that thread is filled with misinformation.

11. I'm thinking (hoping)..
it was a sarcastic mockery of a lot of the comments made seriously on DU. I really hop it is because if not, we've reached next level crazy with regard to the apologist rhetoric on here.

15. You obviously know something nobody else on this board knows.
Like how she can get to that position when she is not up for any election.

16. I don't agree with this all or nothing mindset.
Criticising Obama doesn't mean not supporting Democrats in almost all cases on DU.

8. I can, not repealing would push issue to USSC then there would have to be legislation on it
...and that aint happening

But don't let facts get in the way of a good Obama bash

12. The administration could make everyone's life easier by giving everyone money without Congress'
approval.

That doesn't mean I want Obama to do that.

14. So, with the Roberts court in charge, you think it would be best to leave the decision to the
courts? I still agree with the President that the only way to repeal DADT is through the congress.
