me to come to her house to meet a "true conservative" candidate (read: Tea Party) who is challenging Eric "mmmmmmmmkay" Cantor.

#1 You are a fucking moron for mixing politics with business unless you are in politics, which you are not (she's an interior designer).

#2 I'm voting for the Democrat who is running against him (not telling her because it's not her business).

#3 Hell fucking no.

You have an invitation to an excellent reconnaissance adventure!

See here Double-O-Seven, your mission is as follows:

1. Infiltrate the meeting by posing as a Tea Party operative.
2. Procure literature and materials intended for use by the operatives.
3. Report back to headquarters with your findings.

Enclosed, you will find several items that may prove indispensable:
Gadsden Flag, Misspelled Anti-tax poster, and a package of Nanny's finest Earl Grey.

This message will self-disrupt.

Seriously though, consider accepting the invite and see what this gut is all about, you may get some ammo to use against Cantor. And there is no harm in urging support for Cantor's challenger to the right to those voters who are never going to vote Dem. Might as well help him spoil for the Democrat.

3. To the Spam folder she went.
Here's the "winner" she's hosting:

http://www.wtvr.com/news/wtvr-floyd-bayne-profile100914,0,501313.story

<snip>

Bayne is campaigning on a platform that calls for reducing and/or eliminating many federal programs- like social welfare, government-sponsored health care and social security- and placing the impetus for running similar efforts on the states and local governments.

He said he'd like to do away with federal income taxes, which he finds "philosophically and morally repugnant," and lower the tax burdens on business so they can grow and hire more staff.

Bayne strongly opposes TARP money and any other federal initiative intended to prop up struggling companies and banks.

"I don't accept the argument that unless the government steps in, things are going to be horrible," said Bayne. "Businesses succeed and fail all the time- they do it on their own merit."

<snip>

Yes, as a life-long Democrat and someone on unemployment, I really want to get behind someone like this. NOT!!

8. I barely know the woman. I met her maybe once through a networking
event. We aren't even "linked in" or anything; however, since I'm looking for a job, it's a little delicate.

Now, she didn't think twice about what she did, but I'm trying to, for lack of a better word, tread carefully.

I just wanted to vent here.
