You'll see that that's where a lot of hardcover conservative books end up. I wonder how this all works because I've heard things about conservative foundations buying the books to artificially boost the sales rankings; maybe the end of the line is trying to liquidate them through large chains which sell inexpensive goods.

2. I saw a whole stack of Going Rogues at Borders the other day marked down to half off.

Granted, there was also Stephen Colbert's "I am America, and so can you".

I never see anything by say, Noam Chomsky, Michel Focault, or Carl Sagan on the half-off table.

Also, a lot of these conservative books end up at Wal-Mart and at grocery stores. If you want Palin, Coulter, O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, or "bodice-ripper" romance novels... Wal Mart has that. But if you want to buy books on philosophy or pedagogy or critical theory, you're SOL at Wally-World.

3. I ALWAYS move those books
when I see them. I put them in the adult diaper section. I've been consistently doing it all over the Monterey Peninsula in in any store where I find that conservative trash.

6. A Couple Of My Favorite Tricks
After seeing the picture that made me laugh out loud, whenever I see conservative books at the grocery store, I always take them over to the "feminine hygeine" section and proudly display them right next to the other douches.

Also, an oldie but a goodie, whenever I'm at the book store, I like to move the conservative books over to the Fiction section.

7. It could be intentional product placement.
People who are watching their pennies and feeling disconnected from the economy aren't going to spend thirty bucks on a book, but 3-5 bucks for a book by one of those people on TV? Deal!
