Weather balloon GPS space flight iPhone camera footage homemade spacecraft 100,000 ft altitude
Video from a camera attached to a weather balloon that rose into the upper stratosphere and recorded the blackness of space. Seven-year-old Max Geissbuhler and his dad Luke Geissbuhler dreamed of visiting space. Armed with just a weather balloon, a video camera, and an iPhone, they basically did just that.

9. Here is a link to the their Web Site!
link: http://www.brooklynspaceprogram.org/BSP/Home.html

This event was planned out perfectly.

Apparently, they are going to do it again... (Check out the above link!)

In their Web Site is a link for the FAA regulations for flying objects (i.e. unmanned free balloons, rockets, and etc.)

link: http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=ecfr&sid=ea968eea871ed9ab2380f6d979eaa7a6&rgn=div5&view=text&node=14:2.0.1.3.15&idno=14

I am wishing them good-luck in their further endeavors.
