I'm not really familiar with Tavis Smiley or Tyler Perry, so I answered no to that question. I don't pretend to like them (I have no opinion, pretend or otherwise), and I have no idea if they suck. So my answer to "Are you just saying that because NPR told you to?" is "No", but the only choice is "Yes".

Just not funny, unless your an extremist, a bigot, a hypocrite, or simply a little slow. The stereotypes that this relies on are so simplistic that not many thinking people would feel amused in the slightest. Rich, white, gun owning, closeted, religious, Fox news watchers vote republican. Poor, black, atheist, welfare receiving, country music hating, gun-free NPR listening people who aren't Alan Keyes vote democratic. Fail.

It's not that it was illogical, it's that the stereotypes they used were so unclever.

If it's a program, it's got some logical errors. Kind of kills the jokes, such as they may be. To point out that the shapes are wrong would be nitpicky, so I wouldn't do that.
