RW student on Hardball: Tooomey is gonna lower taxes & create jobs in the small business community"

Okay..he got the talking points spewed out, but I wonder which small business HE plans to get a job at when he's finished with his studies at Temple..

Yummy Number 1 Donut Shoppe?

Harry & Eddies Furniture Repair Shop?

Millie's Nail Salon?

Betty's Diner?

Steve & Bob's Computer Service Co?

I'm sure HE plans to use his pricey college education by getting a BIG JOB at a BIG company (which, in actuality, has been off-shoring/laying off/downsizing/firing thousands just like him).

Unless his parents are loaded, he will graduate with a substantial debt-load, and will NEED a big paycheck in order to pay that loan and still have some semblance of a "life".

Talk is cheap when you are still IN school, but eventually (one way or another) those students will leave school, and then the shit hits the fan.

1. Obama tried to lower taxes on small business and create jobs, GOP fillibustered it
Why does Joe College think Toomey is going to be any different? They are anti-jobs.

3. Did they really filibuster or just threaten?
My opinion is they should be encouraged to filibuster. Order cots. And water.

4. All they have to do is vote against cloture. That is the modern day version of fillibuster,
Sadly not like the Mr. Smith goes to Washington days.

5. The filibuster law needs to be changed.ASAP
I know that eventually we will be in a minority status, but we hardly ever USED it when we were, so why not just change the damned thing..

I would not mind if the minority were allowed to filibuster TWICE during any given congress...They would need to think long and hard about which two times were filibuster-worthy, and all other "business" just takes 51 votes..

They have abused the method, so they must be reined in..

2. What the right wing means when they say they'll
create jobs is they'll privatize all services which in turn will make jobs..

meaning the government employees will have a choice of still working at a lower rate of pay or they'll leave, opening up a NEW JOB!!! It won't create more jobs it'll just lower wages and replace people who quit...
